Your privacy is critically important to us. At BudgetMe, we have a few fundamental principles:

• We don't ask you for personal information like your name, email, or phone number.
• We don't share your personal information with anyone except to comply with the law, develop our products, or protect our rights.
• We don't store personal information on our servers unless required for the on-going operation of one of our services.

1. Data Collection and Storage

BudgetMe operates as an offline-first application. This means:

• Local Storage: All data you enter (expenses, income, budgets, categories) is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework.
• No External Servers: We (the developers) do not own, operate, or rent any servers to store your financial data. We cannot see, access, or sell your data because we never possess it.
• iCloud Sync: If you have iCloud Drive enabled on your device, Apple may sync your app data to your personal iCloud account to keep your devices in sync. This process is encrypted by Apple and is not accessible by us.

2. Face ID and Biometrics

BudgetMe allows you to use Face ID or Touch ID to secure your budget. This feature relies on the LocalAuthentication framework provided by iOS.

We do not have access to your biometric data. Your fingerprint and facial map are stored securely in the Secure Enclave on your device. The app only receives a "Pass" or "Fail" notification from the operating system to unlock the app.

3. Third-Party Services and Analytics

To ensure your complete privacy, BudgetMe does not use any third-party analytics services (such as Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or Facebook Pixel). We do not track your behavior, tap history, or navigation patterns within the app.

4. Data Retention

Since your data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control over it. Your data remains on your device indefinitely until:

• You manually delete specific items (expenses, categories) within the app.
• You delete the BudgetMe app from your device (which removes the local database).

5. Children’s Privacy

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. Since we do not collect data from any user, we naturally do not possess data from children.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. These changes are effective immediately after they are posted on this page.
